Hi all ,
I hope I can get some good advise here. Chloe is four and a half months old and I put her on easy at 4 months. She always woke up once in the night before easy and is mostly still doing so. Lately she has been waking up at 12 1 and between 3 and 430 am. Out of these three times which one do I feed her. I do sh/pat but if it doesn't work after half hour I give in and feed her because I think she must be hungry. Her easy looks like this.
E 7:00
A 730-900
S 9-10
E 11
A 1130-1
S 1-3
E 3
A 330-5
S cn sometimes yea and no mostly yes
6 bedtime stuff. Bath change bottle 645. bed
I don't do dream feed because I started to and she was waking at 5 30 am to eat and would not go back to bed.
I assume at one of the hours she wakes up I should feed her but which one. How do I know if she is really hungry. Yesterday for instance I did sh/pat at the 12 wu and she fell asleep then at 1 I did it again for half hour and she cried so I picked her up and fed her which she fell asleep after a few minutes so she was obviously not hungry and the third wu at 430 I did sh/ pat and she cried and cried so I fed her and she did 10 minute feed. Normal feeds are 20 minutes. She was obviously hungry. So my question is is she going through a growth spurt. How do I know if she is hungry or not. Should she be feeding at least once in night or should I try get her to sleep through. Seems to me she is hungry at least nice every night. But now that she is waking up three times I can't determine which one I should act on. Please help.

There is a major growth spurt at 4 months and also a lot of developmental leaps at this time as well. LOs often wake 2x to feed.
What is your cat nap length? Without a CN, you LO goes almost 4 hours until bt, which would cause OT EWs.
At this age, I think I still had 2 feeds, since I didn't DF either. The first sleep stretch was the longest and and the one that lengthened over time. Then after that, my LO would wake 3-4 hours later again.

Hi thanks for replying. Since my post LO has been taking regular cn at 5 or 530 for about 20 to 40 minutes. I have assumed it's a growth spurt and added an extra ounce in the morning but since I give breast and formula I have a hard time knowing how much she eats. I do notice she is less interested in feedings and with bf is easily distracted. I feel she is not eating well but she doesn't cry in-between her feeds so I guess it's ok. She has been waking up at 2 the last few days and bf. Then goes until 630. So like you said I guess one wake is ok. She sleeps from 7 until 2. Then 2 till 700. I will continue the routine and see what happens in a month. Thanks.

They are so easily distracted at this age during feedings. ::) Used to drive me crazy. I am glad you had a better night and I hope it continues.
