Just that!!
My friend's DS gets about 11hrs a night, no nap but will occasionally fall asleep in the car.
DS is shattered all the time so I aim for between 11.5 and 12hrs but is that really unrealistic?

I think 12 in 24 is the average (based on a class of 3-3.5 yr olds right now and my two).
Emma sleeps 12.5-13 hrs at night and no nap. She dropped the nap at 2 yrs but was doing 14 hr nights till 2.5!
Oscar never did more than an 11 hr night but was still napping given half the chance at this age....

T is 3yrs 3mos and he does 11hr nights with a 1hr nap. So I agree that 12hrs total is probably a good average.

M does a 12-12.5 hour night with no nap.

Stan just turned 4 and he does 12 hours most nights, sometimes 11.5, sometimes 12.5-13. No nap since he turned 3.

DS hasn't napped since about 2yrs 8mths and only very rarely now will fall asleep in the car. So I'll continue to aim for 12hrs then!! Aim being the word with my sleep monkey ::)

Sometimes they sleep what they sleep! As long as you are giving him the opportunities. :)
And I think I'm probably one of the rare ones with a 3+yo who still naps. :P

Alex is 3 yrs 2 mo. He hasn't had a regular nap for at least 8-9 mo. He does 11.5 hr nights most nights, but he has always been v low sleep needs

henry does 11.5-12 hours and a 30 min nap once or twice a week.

DS averages 12-13h total per 24 hours. That is either an 11hr night and 1hr nap or if no nap then he sleeps 13.5 hours. When he does too many (usually 3) no-nap days in a row and starts dropping down to 11.5h nights then he is severely OT.

M dropped her nap back in April & finally, after months of her adjusting she seems to be settling around 12hrs a night (sometimes more/sometimes less) :)
