Title: 5 month old awake most of night
Post by: Bubbles8987 on March 30, 2012, 08:31:42 am: My LO just turned 5 months. He is on 3 solid meals a day and 5-6oz every 3.5-4hrs. He will have 2 long naps eg. 1.5-2 hrs. A time of 2hr 15.
He has his last bottle in dark room around 7.15pm an usually falls asleep on the bottle. He will usually sleep until about 11 then have a bottle but then wakens every 3 hrs. Last 2 nights he hasnt been too keen on bottles during night since moving to 3 meals. This means he isn't falling asleep
During feed and cannot get back to sleep. He doesnt cry just lies wide awake moaning. Last night was the worst, fed at 7.30, slept until 11.30pm fed and back to sleep til 3. At 3 he woke but I was determined not to feed him. Kept giving dummy but he just spat it out and moaned constantly. I then fed him at 5.15am but he vomited it up and stayed wide awake. He stayed awake until 8.30 when I gave him another bottle and he fell asleep.
I don't know what to do!! Please help!!

Post by: Bubbles8987 on March 30, 2012, 08:33:27 am: Should add that he is cuttin his 2 bottom teeth at minute. However his sleeping has always been like this. Longest stretch was 5 hrs once.

Post by: Bex09 on March 30, 2012, 12:50:25 pm: Hi there, is your DS fed to sleep for every nap and BT or can he fall asleep independently? Do you want to post your average day in EAS format so that we can take a look? Teething will often make NW worse so it could well be partly to blame, but sounds like there are other issues going on too.

Post by: Bubbles8987 on March 30, 2012, 17:55:07 pm: No he goes for Naps independently,just bedtime feed to sleep because it's handy to do bath bottle bed when I also have a 2 year old to get to sleep! The past few days have been a bit awkward due to the good weather we have been out a lot so easy is a bit messed up. I will post tomor schedule tomor evening to show as things should be back to normal. Though i have noticed the last week or so that he has short naps in morning then around 3pm he wants to sleep for 3hrs plus!
I will post more detailed routine tomor!
