Title: POLL: Moving from breast to bottle - how did you do it?
Post by: ashley10 on October 15, 2012, 23:10:41 pm
Hi everyone I am having trouble weaning onto a bottle so am looking at every option. Interested to find out success stories for others to see if I should be trying withholding feeds and just offering the bottle. Right now I am just offering at every feed.

Many thanks :)

I also offered DS at every feed and after about a fortnight he finally took it!!

I put DS on my breast and then slipped the bottle in and my nipple out.  He finished the lot and then latched back on my breast! Hehe. He's been able to take a bottle ever since.

Sometimes my mum struggles, but she just rocks him on her knee quite fast and wiggles the teat till he latches on then were good to go :)

Good luck!
