I just took DD to the dollar store yesterday and got a bunch of stickers, stamps, and a puzzle for under $10 :)

If you're looking for things to do that cost nothing at all, she also loves making forts, throwing a ball and chasing it up and down the hall, and is currently obsessed with playing on our bed :)

At that age DD really got into stickers and drawing with felt-pens. Instant entertainment for when out and about too. She loves sticking foam shapes on kitchen roll holders etc.

C also loved jigsaws at that age too. The simple peg type.

Is your DS into blocks? C loved mega blocks at that age and is now getting into duplo. She loves it when we build staircases for her little figures to fall down.

Happyland figures and sets have been a big hit here for a long time. We have the toy shop and the bus which C loves. I'd love to get her the farm but she has a small le toy van one we got off eBay.

Forgot to add, don't know if you've seen the thread on here with loads of links to toddler activities blogs/websites but imagination tree is a great place to start with invitations to play. I've used tons of ideas from there. :)

Collect several small objects - eg. cotton reels, pom-poms, or conkers and several jars and bowls.

LO will have fun putting the objects into the jars and bowls, and tipping them out again. This has been DS's favourite activity for months  ::)

You can also use a cardboard box with a hole cut in it for LO to post things into  :)
