My Lo has been sleeping through the night with only a DF since 8 weeks old. BUt the last 2 weeks she has been waking at 5 and wont go back to sleep. The last 2 days she woke between 3-4. When she wakes at 5 i try to leave her as she is moaning a bit but not really crying, sometimes she goes quiet so i think she goes back to sleep but i don't thnk she does. She then wakes at 6 but can only stay awake for 1.5 hours so i am assuming she is actually awake for the full hour between 5-6.
I have tried resettling but she just keeps smiling at me and blowing raspberries, the only way i can get her to settle is if i feed her. But going by the fact she has not had a night feed in 4 months i can't believe she is hungry.
Any advice on how to get rid of the NW, they are driving me nuts ::)

There is a growth spurt at 6 months so she may be hungry. I think my LO is close in age to yours and although she hasn't been STTN as long as your LO, she's started waking at night for a feed again in the last few days. Like your LO, she doesn't really cry - she just lays there and moans and then I feed her, lay her down awake and she goes right back to sleep.

Do you still DF?

I tried the DF a few times but it never seems to help so we don't do one. She nurses twice and has solids in the 2 hours before bed though so she goes down with a pretty full tummy.

We always DF but now its not making a difference so i stopped. If your LO wakes at 5:30 would you feed and put her back down or leave her 30 mins and just get her up for the day at 6?
Also sometimes when she goes back to sleep she will sleep until 8 even 8:30 once, would you just leave her sleeping until then or get her up at 7/7:30?
Thanks for you help ;D

I put her back down and she usually goes right back to sleep. It's been a while since she didn't go back to sleep after a 5:30 feed, but when she doesn't sometimes she just needs a very short bit of A time (20-30 min) and then is ready to sleep.

We usually start our day a little later (7:30 or 8) but I usually wake her at 8 if she's not up (unless she had a bad night or short naps the day before) because I find it throws everything way off when she sleeps too late.
