DD has fallen asleep in her quiet time! Not napped for a good two months now so this was totally out of the blue, though had a feeling she was a bit OT. She's perhaps been asleep 45 mins max. Wake her? Let her sleep? Argh!
-
I'd wake her right now if it were me- then probably bed time will be right still... the 45 will just catch her up- too much longer might be a killer tonight!!
-
Of course she might be a BEAR to wake up- but that beats UT then OT tonight!! Just don't curse me too much!!
-
Ok, going to do it. Wish me luck!
-
ITA.
Maybe she's growing? LO1 does this, conks out about every six months or so, and it's usually a GS.
-
Good luck!! Both now and tonight!! I'm heading to sleep soon- but do pop on tonight to tell us if bed time remains unscathed!
-
Id have woken too. Any more than 15 min and we get nightmare BT! Good luck for tonight!
PS if u think ot could you try ebt? Dd doesn't really tack on much since 1-0 but she surprised me other othe day when i did 5.45 BT she sttn till 7.30 ::O
-
Ok, she's awake and watching Shrek ::) not best pleased to be woken, but not awful. Fingers crossed now for BT!
Aishi, yes I do think EBT would be a good idea. She always tacked on well in the past, though recently when I've tried it she's just messed around until normal BT anyway. Will give it another shot though if it looks like she needs a catch up again.

i did 5.45 BT she sttn till 7.30 ::O
Brave woman!! I never shoot earlier than 6.30!! Clearly i'm a bit of a chicken...
-
Not so brave as fed up lol. Shes very spirited and a lot of hard work so it was more for me than her lol
Katherine- dd used to tack on really well too but I've found with 1-0 that shes regulating better so an ebt than 6.30 wouldn't usually work but with accumulated ot from nnds an occasional ebt really helps :) although i can now see when she needs it eg nights get shorter, her tolerance level is lower and spiritedness is off the charts ::) ::) any tell tale cues from J?
-
Yeah I think shorter nights and/or pre-midnight NWs are the clue here. We had both in the last two days (up at 6am today) so I guess the crash was on the cards. Mood was ok though this morning so not sure that's as much of a giveaway. Eek, scared about BT!
-
Straight to sleep at BT :D let's see what the night brings. Fingers crossed it was the catch up she needed!
-
Fingers firmly crossed for you, Katherine.
-
Yay! Fxd she sttn!!
-
Well she STTN from 6.30pm BT but was up at 6am again. Quite happy to sing and chat until calling for us at about 6.30am. I guess we can't really expect a longer night with a nap though. Let's hope she can make it to normal BT today.
-
Yay for sttn! I did a 5.45 BT the day dd woke at 6 and I knew she was still ot...worth a thought?
-
Good thought hun :). I'll see how she is when she gets home from nursery x
-
Hooray!
-
How was the second night after nap day Katherine:)?
-
Second night she STTN again but only about 11h15, woke happy, been happy all day. I have no clue! Either she's good at dealing with OT or she's lower sleep needs than I thought and I'm going to have to push BT later. Will see how the next few days go x
