My 4 week old has started using a pacifier when he goes to sleep. It seems to soothe him to sleep but he cries when it inevitably falls out. He goes back to sleep when I pop it back in but sometimes this happens multiple times during a nap or at night. Is the pacifier a prop or comfort? Just started EASY and don't want to fall into bad habits.

If he can't sleep without it and needs you to replug it, then it's a prop. But don't freak out. At this age, sleep (for all of you) is so valuable. You can wean it now or later, it's not such a big deal just a couple of rough nights.
-
Do you think I should wean now? How would I go about that?
-
I wouldn't, he's so young and so many really young babies have a really intense need to suck. I'd take advantage of it now and look to wean it if/when it becomes really problematic. Around 3-4 months old is when most babies are more ready to start sleeping more independently.

Will this pass in a few days/weeks? Will he get better at keeping it in or care less? TIA

He should get better at keeping hold of it. If not, you can just stop using it. It's not impossible to wean it at this age.
