Title: When to ditch the dummy/pacifier
Post by: ladymugg on June 30, 2015, 04:23:05 am
Hi there

My 15mo daughter took up the dummy kind of late (6 months, when I was trying to get her to STTN) and loves it.  It NEVER leaves her cot though and she can sleep fine if she loses it, sometimes takes it out herself (she doesn't have it in when I check on her in the night, quite often).  I don't believe it is a crutch really, just a habit (if that makes sense).

She has that and her cuski comforter in her bed.

Should I be ditching this now or wait til she can understand what I'm doing (ie: one of those stories about how the dummy fairy needed it back or something etc etc :) )

Thoughts?

if she can sleep w/o it then try a night or 2 w/o it in the bed and see what happens.
