So lo drinks his water from a shot glass after his meals. Recently, he's been wanting to grab the glass from me so I'm thinking of getting him a no spill cup.
Been reading, but a lot of no spill cups require sucking from the rim. And lo does not use a sippy cup nor straw cup. Anyone tried the reflo smart cup?

We'd a tommee tippee free flow baby cup. No sucking required. Worked great for water with meals

Perhaps don't look for 'no spill' in your search as they tend to have valves. It's recommended to use a free-flow cup (without valve). The sippy cups free flow so will spill if knocked over but there are only 2 or 3 small holes to free flow through so it's not the whole cup that pours out, more like splashes really and I imagine this is really waht you are after rather than a true 'no spill'
I used tommoe tippie free flow sippy cups. We also had one lid which was different and allowed quite a lot of water into the upper section of the cup (above the lid) and LO drank from teh edge of the cup rather than from a spout. As your LO has been using an open cup you might want to look for one of those?
Or continue with the open cup because you've already started, just put a very small amount in the bottom until the skill improves.
Or look at the doidy cup which is an open cup but shaped to help LO.

Thanks ladies,
yup, I want to avoid those cups with valves.
I'll try to go find a tommie tippie free flow sippy cup or the doidy cup!

If you can only find valve cups where you are I believe it isn't too hard to remove the valve to make them free flow.
