Hi
My dd turned 7 months on the 16th of June.
We did have nap issues in the past of only 40 minute naps, but with everyone's help here, everything has been pretty good lately...until...
My daughter has now decided to scream bloody murder when you put her down for her naps.
Is there something they go through at this age?
Sometimes I let her cry for a few minutes and she's able to put herself to sleep but not often.
She'll fall asleep on someone but I don't want to start a bad habit....
Her schedule is as follows:
Wake 7am
Bottle 730 (9oz)
Solids 9 am
Nap 10-11:30
Solids 12:30 or 1
Bottle 2:00 or 2:30 (9 oz)
Nap 3-4:30
Solids 5:30
Bottle 7pm (9 oz)
Bath
Bed 7:30-7:45
Thanks!

Sounds like she needs a bit more A time - try a 15min increase and see how she goes :)

It's hit and miss now with the 15 minute A time extension. She'll sometimes scream, other times she won't. However, she, more often than not, wakes up hysterical after 40 minutes.
One tooth just popped through and the other one is right there, so not sure if that's it.

Could well be teething. 40min - usually UT, have you tried to resettle? Have you tried going in before she wakes and helping her through?
-
I have tried that but she is such a light sleeper that she wakes from our creaky floor. And if I try to resettle her, I make it worse when she sees be. Her naps are extended 15 minutes and the last few days they are all 40 minutes.

But on the plus side, she's not screaming when you put her down. Lol

Just popping in as Bec is away for a few days. How are things going now?
My DD went through a phase of shouting and crying when I started WD- it's often a sign of UT with her..as if she's saying, " No, I'm not ready for a nap yet!"

Going down for naps is a lot better, but still only 40 minutes. We were able to get a longer nap in this morning by extending her A Time by 30 minutes instead of 15

So its pretty reasonable to increase A times across the board given you're still consistently getting UT naps after a few days after adding 15min :)

Perfect, thank you!
