Title: HTTJ
Post by: LaraAndrea on February 28, 2017, 18:39:19 pm
I was reading some old posts on this method, unfortunately after I attempted it for the first time.

Needless to say my first attempt was not very good.

I got in on time 27min and I had my hand on my LO arms, she is not swaddled and her arms were splayed. I had to use both hands and all she did was state and smile at me.

She did not go back to sleep.

Help I am struggling here

Hi there, welcome to BW forums :)

There is some info here - see the section near the end "pressure at the jolts" although the whole post on W2S is helpful
How do I address habitual wakings? (wake-to-sleep and other methods)

It may not be anything to do with your not doing the method "right" but could be routine related too. If LOs A time is too short then no amount of HTTJ or W2S will help really. And those developmental leaps can be really disruptive.

I see you have a current support thread for naps including routine so just stopped by here with the HTTJ info.
