Title: QUICK QUESTION
Post by: M&M'sMom on September 27, 2005, 18:49:11 pm
Do you count from when they had their bottle or from when they had their solids until the next feed.... just wondering because the girls will eat cereal in the morning and about an hour later they eat their bottle.... now that it's lunch Im not sure if I should feed them according to 4 hours from solids, or 4 hours from bottle???

Any advice?

I would go from thier last intake of food which would be the bottle, but are they hungry? Try it out and see what they eat, and go with their need. If they are not hungry 4 hours from the solids then leave it that extra hour. Does that impact on their sleep at all? Do they still get time for activity between  lunch and nap if they wait? You just want to avoid them getting over tired and falling asleep in their chair, or being too tired to work on their solids properly.

I always went about four hours from bottle to bottle, with solids offered about an hour after the bottle.   :)
