Title: How can I get more breastmilk/calories in during the day?
Post by: Sarahboh on December 02, 2005, 17:47:50 pm
Ella is a very good 7.5 week old. Lately, typically she can sleep through from 7pm to about 6:00-7:00am with a df at 10pm. Sometimes she is waking 1x night for a feed (full 10minutes) but this happens usually between 1-2am (only a few hours after a DF). I am wondering on those days is she not taking in enough at her feedings, can I do anything to make sure she is getting more so she continues to sleep through the night. I appreciate any help, I hope I am not asking too much.  :?

At 7.5 weeks, waking once a night is REALLY GOOD!  You're already cluster feeding and dreamfeeding.  Do you offer both sides during the day?  She's doing really well, and she's still so young...I probably wouldn't sweat it too much for the next little while.  I know if would be nice to have a full night, but realistically, many bf babies wake once a night for months and months...

I think your baby is a dream!

My ds is 4.5 months and he still wakes once or twice a night to feed.

Sounds like your little one is doing just great.
