Title: Do you let them stay in crib when not napping?
Post by: Matka on December 27, 2005, 20:50:16 pm
My 4 month old ds is still not over the 45 min nap nightmare yet and I wondering if you ladies keep you lo's in there crib for the hour and half that they are supposed to be sleeping (i.e., keep going in every 10-20 that they fall back asleep), or just get them up?

I would keep him in there unless he's really crying out :)

When my dd was going through that developmental phase, this would often work, and she would often go back to sleep after 20 mins or so. Of course, nap WTS worked for me too (it doesn't now). But I just got to the point where I got sick of going in there at the 30 min mark every nap, and one day I tried this.

My LO is still getting used to being awake in her crib, so I'm trying to let her be and see if she'll re-settle after a bit of time.  If she gets to wild and screaming, I'll go grab her.  To be honest, I could really use more than a 20 minute break from her (after staying with her for 20 minutes to make sure she gets to sleep!)
