Anyone got good smoothie recipes? My poor daughter is having a rough week. Two days ago she busted her lip really bad and on top of that has congestion that causes her to get sick at night. Poor thing. So she isn't eating well right now. I thought that a smoothie might be fun and easier for her to eat as well as nutricious but I don't really know what to do. Does anyone have a good recipe?? Thanks!

You could try some frozen berries, high fat milk and a banana... it's in one of my child recipe books but I haven't tried it yet. :D Sorry to hear about her lip too!

Hi,
my dd loves strawberries, banana and milk smoothies, or sometimes i add raspberries in as well, or you can just add any fruit you like in a blender and add a little water and you can give her pure fruit smoothies.

You c ould also try mango smoothies (use frozen mango cheeks if they aren't in season), or tinned peaches (in natural juice - no added sugar). I also put in a bit of Petit Miam For Baby vanilla yoghurt but you could use normal yoghurt too. I have even been known to use jars of pureed baby fruit when I have run out of suitable fresh fruit.
Hope your little darling gets better soon!

John loves smoothies. My general recipe is:
1 banana (or other fruit)
1 cup Yo-baby or any yogurt
1/2 cup milk
Puree in blender until smooth.
You can also add about 1/4 cup of silken or soft tofu if you want.

We don't measure for our smoothies. Just toss in some yogurt, milk, banana and then some other fruit like mangos or strawberries.

Thanks everyone for your awesome response! I did try one of these recipes today and boy was she excited!! She seems to be feeling a little better and her lip is starting to at least try to heal. Thank you again!
