Hello everyone  , i'm new here, i have a 10 week old DS and i was wondering if its ok to put a level 3 nipple size (Dr. Brown's nipples) in his bottles because he gets really distracted during feeding time? :?:
-
Personally I wouldnt - but thats only because William just couldnt cope with anything but number 1 until he was 4 months old and hes only just becoming ready for number 3 now he is 6 months old.
I guess you could try a number 2 to see if your LO can cope with that and then try a number 3.
There are probably other things you can try to do to help your LO but my mind has gone blank - I'll post again when I think of some suggestions xx

thank you ennypen :D . I guess you are rigth, Its just that sometimes i get a little desperate( :x ) because he only takes 2.5 to 3.5 oz in 45 minutes with the size 2 nipples, then he starts to play with the nipple and rolls it with his tongue and then he gets upset because its in his mouth, but i guess that just part of the job :) . Thank you

Sounds like you could try the number 3 and see how it goes.

We're using the Playtex system, but wanted to let you know that my 10.5 WO DD can take 45 minutes to eat 3.75 ounces. She likes a breather between the appetizer (first ounce), the main course (second and third ounce), and dessert (last bit). But, she'll loll the nipple around in her mouth and let it drip out. Or she'll get passive agressive with it and attack the nipple, then arch her back, thrust her legs and cry out. But, if I take the bottle away she cries for it back. Very strange kiddo! If you can, let me know how it goes. Maybe I should adjust the nipple too.

We still use Dr. Brown stage 2 nipples at 11 months. I found with those nipples there really isn't much difference in flow.
