Title: An interesting experiment
Post by: RosieMum on February 13, 2006, 15:02:38 pm
A friend who's partner is expecting this summer popped over for lunch today and we were talking about Rosie's 'go to sleep' cd (a selection of Erik Satie). We got the cd from upstairs and put it on and Rose went as quiet as a mouse and started rubbing her ears.... Very interesting! :)

I tried something similar yesterday when Charlotte was fussing in the car.  Within seconds, she was quiet.  Usually by the end of the second song she is out.  Not this time, she was hungry.  But stayed quiet.  The really weird part is that it is a cd of French pop music.  I have no clue why it works.  Kinda neat isn't it?

My friend swears by playing the classical music CD that was on while she was in labour and giving birth to her daughter - never fails to calm her down apparently (and she's two now).
