Title: Petit Danone & Yoplait minigo's
Post by: maisies_mum on February 14, 2006, 19:45:37 pm
I remember giving Petit Danone to my son when he was quite young but I was wondering if Maisie (7months)
is to young to have them???

Dd #1 only started those much later, like 18 months. Is Maisie having any dairy? Remember babies can be allergic to cow's milk, so if you haven't introduced that yet, the Danone would be it and you could end up with a reaction.

I have started my DS with plain unsweetened yoghurt........he quite likes it and seems to be fine with eating it, I wouldn't start giving the sweetened ones jut yet....too much sugar I would think
Maybe try the plain stuff and see how that goes.........the extra calcium is good for them as well, especially if you don;t want to buy a follow on formula (assuming your feeding formula)

Let us know!!

Also, ask your DR and see what they say, I knwo they can often give empty answers but it's worth asking!

Are they the petit filous ones??
Igave all 3 of mine these from 6 months, they don't really like milk but they love yogurts!

Ethan started eating the UK equilivants when he was around 8 months old.  we prefer to give him natural yoghurt with some fruit puree in but sometimes fall back on these.  Especially on days that he comes back from nursery he is tired and hard to feed and his face lights up when he sees the prepackaged stuff that mummy bought!  (almost everything we give him is homemade and he LOVES bright labels already  ::))  the nice thing is he loves them so much that it spurs him on to eat more veg as he happily eats the yoghurt every second spoonful! Whatever works hmm?

He does, I mixed it with fruit today to make it last longer, he only gets it after veggies!

we started the yogurts around 8 mths , like Maggieruth it encouraged eating veggies ! if he refused to eat much dinner , we would give him 1 spoon yogurt , 1 spoon veggies . although everyone that saw me do this would say , you are causing problems there , he will always want the sweets first . they obviously didn't know Ryan that well  ::) ;D. even now if i leave his plate of food that he says he is done with on his tray and give him a yogurt , he will finish his food after.
i think with having reflux , the cold yogurt lined his throat

I have been giving them to Liam for a couple of months.  He seems to like them a lot - he gets very excited when he sees them! :D
I gave them to the other two as well, but we don't have any food allergies in the family.
