Title: Help stop me from being a human pacifier (please!)
Post by: nwmm on March 12, 2006, 01:54:37 am
Hello.

What steps do I need to take to get my my 3-4 month old to stop using me as a human pacifier.  I know it is a case of "accidental parenting" but I don't know how to correct it.  My baby can't fall asleep with me nursing her to sleep.  I am working on the pat/shush techniques currently, but she gets herself so worked up.

Someone responded to my posting yesterday, but I can no longer find it/able to search to find it/can't find it by clicking on replies to my post.  They suggested there was a "gentler way" in the night awakenings section.  Was this in the book?  I search for it in the index section.

Thanks for your help.  I am new to the boards.

Hi
Here is a sticky from night wakings that talks about 'gentle removal':

Could this have been it?

Are you still needing help or are you getting help on the other board.  Just want to make sure you're being looked after.
