I have 4 scheduled bf per day and DD is 9 months old. How do I know when she is ready to drop to fewer feeds per day?

I guess it depends what you are aiming for. I wasn't in any hurry to wean at 9 months (I'm still not!) so Sam naturally dropped feeds as he got older. He just took less or stopped asking. When he got to 12 months, solids took equal priority in the schedule and the breastfeeding decreased naturally.
Do you have a specific timetable in mind? What is your schedule at the moment?

I know some mamas that do 3 at that age and some that do 5. It depends on your lo. I think some women notice that their litlte ones are as hungry for the first morning bfing. But this isn't all the case, they are all different.

At 9 months I was still doing 4 feeds a day but at 10 months dropped to 3. I don't think Carter necessarily wanted to but I was doing it in preparation for going back to work. He adapted very well though and hardly missed the feed after a few days. I found that the morning feed (after his am nap) was the easiest for me to drop first as that was when I just gave him lunch instead.
If your lo seems to be losing interest (like taking shorter feeds or playing around rather than drinking) then she might be ready to drop a feed. I would say as long as she is taking in a good amount of solids and she has adapted to a bottle or sippy then you could go ahead and drop a feed. However, if you are in no hurry and your lo seems content I would keep on doing what you are doing!!! :) I will definitely be sad the day Carter decides he's done!!
