Title: Introducing new foods
Post by: RachelC on March 30, 2006, 19:34:58 pm
Does it *truely* matter what foods I introduce at what age.  I know to aviod nuts, milk, citrus stuff, etc.  I followed "Super Baby Food" for dd1 but picked up Annabel Karmel's book at the library last night and there's not a whole lot of consistancy.  Things that are introduced in one, the other says to hold off on.  Just wondering.
Thanks

Rachel
I have 2 Annabel Karmel books - there was a veggie (can't remember off-hand) I was trying to see if I could use. One of her books said 6-9months and the other 9-12  ??? ??? ??? hows that for inconsistency  :o :o :o

I have noticed that too, that a lot of sources (even by the same author) are inconsistent. I just use my judgment. I mean, we know our los best and I usually have a pretty good idea what he's ready for. For example, if your lo does great with sweet potato and it's been a bit since you introduced it, it seems logical that white potato would be ok to try.
