I have just started LO on solids. I have made up some cereal mixed with formula and fruit. Since we have just started, I only give a teaspoon at a time, but of course I can't make just one t. So, how long can I keep it before I need to throw it out and make more? Can I freeze it? How long will that keep?
Thanks

Since you have added formula to it and probably would not keep it. There are also issues surrounding re-heating ( I am assuming here that it was heated in the first place). If you also use the spoon to feed her and put it back in the cereal, again bacteria will spread.
This is just my personal opinion, others may see it differently ???

It is not heated or eaten from. I just made it, spooned out what I needed and heated only that.

what kind of cereal is it?
-
It is single grain oatmeal, mixed with stage 1 applesauce.

Possibly 24 hrs then :-\
Is you Lo feeling better ?

Thanks. ;D I'll see if I can make a smaller amount of it, so we don't waste as much. My LO is feeling much better. Thanks for asking. ;D

I would make up only a tablespoon or 2 at a time to feed and throw out whatever your baby doesn't eat. I wouldn't keep any in the fridge especially if it is made up with formula.

OK, thank you. :)

I agree, anything made with formula, BM or cows milk I throw away once it is eaten, I don't store it. But then I am probably being overly safe ???
