Hi everyone....this question may be silly, but could my almost 11 week old DD be going thru a growth spurt. I wasn't really expecting it until next week, but today she has been starving at the two hour mark. My DS never really experienced the signs of going thru them, so I wasn't sure. Maybe it is something else bothering her. She has been a great napper the last few weeks, but today she has been so fussy. Thanks for your help.

It could be a growth spurt! The given times are approximate and can vary widely among kids. You may notice the she is early for all her growth spurts.
Good luck!

Yup - agree with Rachel. My dd is ALWAYS early. We are just wrapping up her 6mo. growth spurt. :D Don't know if your lo was overdue? My daughter was a week late and I often wonder if that's why she's always a week or so early w/her growth spurts! ;D

Thanks for the help. She was actually born exactly at 38 weeks. I'll see how she does the next few days. Yesterday we had to go out to the doctor and it took about three hours....she is touchy and proceeded to scream for 4 hours. Maybe today is just recovering from yesterday or maybe she is early on the growth spurt. Thanks anyway.

Can vary by as much as several weeks between LOs. If you ever see ages mentioned they are a rough guideline.

I never found the growth spurt timelines to be exact, so I used them an a general guideline. DD was usually a week or two early. That always threw me off at first, wonding what the heck is going on with her feeding! But then I eventually figured out that it was a growth spurt and to just adjust to it whenever she reached those points. I shouldn't be surprised about anything with babies, I don't think there's such a thing as a "textbook" baby, LOL ... it's pretty much a crapshoot ... ;)
