Joey has four top teeth and two bottom teeth, but he is still mostly on pureed foods. I'm so afraid he will choke. I know that grapes are a biggie, what are other choking hazards? How do I know what he can and can't have?

he should be able to eat most things now as long as they are cut up small and you make sure that you are with him at all times like bread, toast, orange, rice cakes, bread sticks, apple, the list is endless at this age you just need to watch them and watch for allergies.hope this helps.SAM

Popcorn, raw carrots, peels on fruit, raisins or other sticky dried fruit, nuts, thick peanut butter, whole grapes, hard candy, and hot dogs that aren't cut into small pieces. Those are the most common choking hazards until around age 3 or 4. HTH!

I have DD grapes. Just make sure you peel them first, and then cut into small pieces. Yes, it's tedious. That's why I opt to give her things like strawberries which are easier to cut up. ;) But you have to watch out for rashes with the berries.
I had the choking worry too. I just made sure foods were soft and cut up into small pieces.
