Hello all.
Can you ladies share some of your menu ideas for me?
Charlie LOVES cheese, cheese and tuna sandwiches, cottage cheese, cheese, cheese, shredded cheese and oh ya, cheese.
Breakfast is usually cereal, yogurt and if she'll let me, fruit.
Lunch - grilled tuna and cheese sandwich, some sort of baby veggie and some tofu desert
Supper - salmon, pasta with tomato sauce, ckn with veggie, tofu dogs, firm tofu chunks with sauce, cereal, baby fruit from jar, cottage cheese (this is not all in one sitting :-)
I am running out of ideas but am also feeling like I'm not doing enough. Should she be getting a snack in there too? I try to give at least 3 of the food groups per meal but sometimes it seems like she's had enough.
Right now we eat at 8.30, 12.30 and 5.30. I wonder if we should eat at 8.30, 12.30, 4.30 (snack and 6. I recently dropped two bottles so all that's left is the a.m. and p.m. bottle and try to offer sippy cup of formula twice a day. I am also getting nervous about dropping formula and only giving homo but that post is for another day.
Thank you!

My LO doesn't much like cheese so I have loads of ideas, here are some:
poached cod with sweet potato
bolognese sauce (with or without pasta)
chicken and butternut squash risotto (perhaps with some cheese melted in ;D)
courgette and pea soup (great with some pitta)
leak and potato stew
roast meats (any) with potato, carrots and peas
scrambled eggs with bacon
mushroom and tomato omlette
Tuna and pasta bake
Chicken and veggies stew
Turkey in tomato sauce
basically she eats whatever we ate the night before.
and on the snack front: pitta, crumpets, toast all with butter or with marmite, loads and loads of fresh fruit and fun shaped veggies
hope that helps

Charlotte i know what you are going through i am running out of ideas as well with Catherine especially for lunch. Sounds like you are doing great with what you have said and don't be afraid to give things you eat if she is eating well. For dinner we also give her usually what we have however at the moment she has been a bit fussy with dinner due to her cold and teething >:( Her favourite is Spag Bol like her Mum :D
EmMUK74 some great suggestions here thanks for that ;)

I have a cheese monster too. First time last night made penne with a cheese sauce and i can't believe there was room in that little tummy for all that penne! Must be like her momma too :)
OK-where is that recipe for squash risotto? THAT sounds amazing...she would LOVE that

Wow, I feel like a hick. I have NEVER eatten risotto or leaks and don't know what a courgette is.
If you want to share the risotto recipe I would love to try it. I really should branch our meals out a bit for my sake and my husbands. :)
