dd is 8.5 months and loves to feed herself. Here is what I have given her so far
pasta
peas
banana
avocado
pear
apple
tiny bits of cheese
cheerios
crackers
pieces of turkey
carrots
green beans
yo baby yogurt(doesn't seem to like it though - will keep trying)
Anyone else got any ideas? I think dd is getting bored with what I give her and honestly, so am I!
TIA!

DD loves feeding herself, so finger foods are a hit with her. Sometimes she'll even grab the spoon, and then pick up the food off the spoon with her other hand. LOL.
Some foods I give DD as finger food include:
- Gerber Veggie Puffs or Gerber Fruit Puffs
- Cheerios
- Waffles
- Pancakes
- French Toast
- Bread
- English Muffin
- Crackers
- Rice Cakes
- Yams
- Banana
- Avocado
- Pineapple
- Strawberries
- Apple
- Pear
- Melons (cantalope, honeydew, etc)
- Tomato
- Grapes
- Peaches
- Mango
- Pineapple
- Orange
- Carrot
- Zucchini
- Yellow Squash
- Broccoli (I prefer not to do this finger style cuz the flowery bits get all over the place)
- Cauliflower
- Peas & Carrots (frozen pkg)
- Beans
- Cheese (cubed)
- Tofu (cubed)
- Pizza Rolls (we cut them up into very small pieces for her)
And of course we have non-finger foods that end up into finger foods when she gets in the mood for using her fingers instead of the spoon. :(

Also try:
puffed wheat
mixed frozen veggies
frozen peas
toast spread with cream cheese and cut into small pieces
goldfish crackers (sparingly...watch out for sodium)
tuna
ground beef (browned)
parsnips (I couldn't believe my daughter loved them!)
bagels
brown beans in tomato sauce
pasta (spirals cut in half or macaroni work best)
Good luck!!

I let Zander eat most of his meals with his hands now (much to DH's disgust at the mess!). Tonight he had soup with chunks of bread and butter in it to give him something to hold onto! You'll be surprised at what she can manage with her hands if you let her try!
