Let-down is a funny thing. Some people find it almost painful - like shooting pains. Some describe it as tingling. Some feel it in their back. Some don't notice it AT ALL.

It's very common for mothers not to feel it as their babies get older. If he is feeding normally at the breast and you can hear him swallowing then you are getting letdown. It is bound to feel different when he is attached and when he's not around or crying (when you are more 'tuned into it').

I don't think you have any reason to worry. I feel it about once a month for no obvious reason!!! If you are odd - I am too!

Me, too.  I never feel it when nursing, & rarely when pumping.  Sometimes pumping I'll feel a little tingly toward the end when I have a "2nd" letdown.  From what I understand, it's perfectly normal, especially after you've been nursing a while.
