so will be away from ym 10 month old son from 8-1 two days a week.
i cant express at all it would take a week to get enought milk for 2 feeds.
would it be OK for him to have jsut food or cows milk/water while at nursery then have a feed when i get there instead of making him wait till i get home. its only Tuesdays and thursdays and he is used to going from 8am when he has his breackfast feed till 2.30 when we get home from nursery then he feeds loads throught afternoon and evening. he ahs a snack and lunch at nursery and tea at home on those days.
im hoping he wont be too bad with it as long as we make it up during evening. he will have brecki feed at 7am or 7.30 as clsoe to leaving house for bus at 7.40 he will be droped off at nursery at 8 then im straight on next bus for college start at 9.15 i dont drive and buses are so few and far between.

Can you nurse him before you leave? At that age, my lo was on 3 feeds a day. What are your feelings on night feeds? I cosleep with my baby and he has just stopped night nursing at 13 months. At times he would reverse cycle feeds and have nothing all day and nurse all night even though I was a SAHM. I know it's not very BW, but the nursing relationship was the most important thing for our family, everything else being secondary. I am sure Samuel's mom should have great ideas!

i will be feedign him as close to leaving for the bus as possable i cant feed him at nursery as the bus is at 8.09 so i have to dash out to go get that.
he dosent feed over night any more but he might start doing that again.
i was thinking of just feeding lots from when we get home till bed time

In the states, cow's milk is avoided until 12 months- so check with your doc about milk. There are alot of 9-10 months that can go 5 hours without a nursing- its so variable at that age. You could adjust the solids/nursing schedule around. It make take awhile, but I think it could be done. You may need to cluster feed in the morning and then in the afternoon. I bet LO will adjust if you stay flexible.
