Lo is just about 8 months and it seems for the last few days she only eats for 3 or 4 mins at most. She has no interest in BF'ing. I am planning on BF'ing till she is a year but not sure how this will effect it. On a good day she would only eat for 10 mins she has always been an effecient eater! Seems like she rather eat her solids should I maybe not give her these for a while? What is this going to do to my supply? Should I pump after she eats?
I am working full time while at work I do pump about 5oz/6oz at 11:00am and 4.5oz at 3:00pm. I will pump at 9:30pm and only get 2 oz which I will add to the 3:00pm bottle. I have recently cut out the DF.
I am a bit nervous too b/c I had just taken lo to the Dr and she didn't gain any weight nor lose in the last 2 months.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to have to give up BF'ing. Hoping this just might be a hunger strike and she'll go back to normal soon!

Hi Careene,
Sorry to hear about dd's lack of nursing. It is most likely that she is more distracted and the world around her is more interesting. I wouldn't adjust her solids, just keep offering the same as you have been. Am I assuming correctly that you bf in the morning and before bed (and pump the other 2 feeds)? She will be fine, and your supply will be ok too... if you are concerned, pump after the 2 feeds as well.
My dd did the same thing around 7/8 months and I just kept offering. She came around and started taking more interest. Make sure you are feeding in a quiet place (maybe try laying down as well).
Is she active? Did she gain in height? Weight is not the only factor. Was the dr concerned? I think you are doing a fabulous job and see no reason that you will not meet your 1 year goal ;D

Thanks for the reassurance! I think I need it alot!
I think she is getting distracted! She'll eat for 2 min then turn away to look at something and then go back on for another min then turn away again return and eat for another min if I am lucky. Sometimes she doesn't return. I only feed her laying down now as she fights any other way. I feel she can move more freely being fed laying down.
Active? She hasn't started crawling or walking. She just rolls like crazy and kicks her little legs! I guess she is more active than she was. The Dr wasn't concerned at all. Height, there was a bit of confusion there. The original measurement she shrunk. 2 months ago she was 26.5" and 2 days ago the first measurement was 26", I said Ava shrunk. The nurse said everyone measures different. I let it go but when the Dr came in he asked about her height and I told him she shrunk so then he measured her and got 26 3/4". So I am not too sure in how to answer that one guess it depends on who is measuring!
I hope I am able to meet my goal of 1 yr!! I think tomorrow I will start pumping after each feed. Thanks for the advice and I will be checking those links.

You can do it! She'll come around :)
I always wonder about the height measuring... it seems so random ::)

Even when Ava was born they measured her height at 21.5" and when I took her to her Dr they said she was 19" Go figure! Then the next month she was 22.5" I can't imagine she had that much of a growth spurt but then again you never know.
I am hoping this all just passes. As long as Ava seems content I am not going to worry. I know she will tell me if she is hungry or not! I am going to keep pumping though just too keep my supply going.
