With so many things we know our los don't like to eat. What are some of the things that your lo loves but you yourself wouldn't eat.
My mom looks after dd and sometimes feed dd what she is eating. As a result, dd has some very peculiar likes. For examples
1. Ox tail stew (dd loves to gnaw on the bones)
2. Steamed kale
3. Bitter melon soup
4. Veggie shake with carrots, apples, cucumbers, celery and bitter melon.
5. The peel of plums. Wouldn't eat the juicy flesh, but loves the peel. ::)

Bitter melon?! Ick, even I won't touch that stuff, but all the "older" Chinese people I know love the stuff.
I wonder... does she also like eating Durian? It's an Asian fruit with a unique taste that I think is an acquired taste.
That veggie shake doesn't sound too appetizing, but at least she's getting in her veggies. ;)
Gosh, I can't think of anything that DD will eat that we won't eat. Not yet...

you know what, i love bitter melon. (but soup?? never try that).
my MIL cooks them all the time (as i think it's good for her diabetic or blood pressure ?!). i must try that to DS, never thought to give them to baby .. who knows he might like it !! ;D
i think baby will like durian actually ... i hate the texture (i don't hate the smell) and will never buy one ..lol.

Can't say for certain if she likes it, but she took 2 bites of a cucumber from DH's salad. Neither of us can stand them.

Both mine love rhubarb, I loathe it, can't even bear to eat from a plate that it has been on.
Nathan loves pepperami, but I can't even stand the smell.
Alex and Nathan love warmed milk (as do most little ones) but I can only drink it ice cold
I love a nice glass of red wine, I hope my darlings haven't got a taste for it yet!!!

Dd likes curry and other spicy food. She also likes corned beef hash.

Marie - dd loves durian and so do I, which is good cuz it has sooo much nutrients. My mom has more success with getting dd to try new things as my mom always let dd try what she and my dad are having. Maybe that's the key to getting our lo to eat a variety of food.

Tyler loves those Gerber veggie crackers. I think they smell like barf and I can smell them on his breath and skin for hours after he eats them. Shudder.

Yes, I've found that to be the case with DD. Even if we're both eating the same thing, she often shows more interest in what is on MY plate. I try to explain that they're both the same, and even let her take a bite from my plate to prove the point. When DD is in a funky eating phase of not really eating, I just fix up something on my plate, eat or pretend to eat, and she'll usually come around to see what's up and wanting a taste too. Works great! ;)
