Ya know the links you guys are posting that have us click a blue word instead of a http? How the heck do you do that magic? Onof my random "can't sleep" wonderings.

Very simple use of the bbcode that most forum softwares use :) In this instance you use the
[Url] tags. To use the tags for our purposes instead of having just [url] we use [url=xxxxxxx] and follow the equals with the link we wish to use. After the "]" we then put the text we wish to include the hyperlink and then close the tag eg [url=https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=103069.0]This question from JennŠ[/url]

I dont actually do it the same way...
I press the litte button on the reply panel of buttons that has a picture of a little world on it.. its called insert hyperlink..
When you press that a little box pops up (if you have allowed scripted windows.. if you havent you get the option to allow it to pop up).
In the box you are then prompted to put the link (URL) to the post you want to link to... the link or URL can be copied and pasted from the address line when you have the post open.
Once that is done you press ok and then it asks what you want to call it.. ie the text that appears in blue that you can click on... and the code for the hyperlink pops into your message window ready to be posted.

Have a play with both ways - see what you prefer. I never like messing about with codes and stuff so the button way does it all for you...

LOL Helen, I completely forgot about that option ;D ;D I'm so used to composing in Quick Reply and thus having to manually insert tags that the other option left my brain ;D ;D
Jenn, Like Helen says have a play and see which you prefer, just know that my way is best simply because it's my way :P :P :P........shhhh though, don't tell Helen I said that :P :P ;D ;D ;D

Helen's way MUCH easier, Gareth, but I promise you, DH does it EXACTLY the way you do... It is a male thingy I think, purely because of all the knowledge and control!!! They don't say Knowledge = Power for nothing!! ;)
