Title: Why can't I get a new ticker to work??

I have tried and tried to add a nice new ticker tonight.. and it wont... blah...

I usually know what I am doing so am wondering if there is something wrong with the site lol..

Which code are you using? That makes a difference for me sometimes.

I know that but that doesn't mean I can figure out which one it is! I have serious Mama mush brain today.  :P

I know there is a limit on the length of code as I tried to put one of the smileys in and it didn't work - too long I think.  just a thought. though helen I would have thought your's was ok?

This is related to the issue we're having with links.  When you're saving the code in your profile the software is adding code incorrectly, and thus causing your code to fail.  I'll ask Andy to check into it once he is well :)

Those of you whose tickers suddenly stopped working, did you check out your code in your profile and then it stopped working, or did it just stop working?

Thanks G... in my case my ticker that was already there was working just fine.. I just fancied a new one and when I popped the codes in etc they wouldnt work.

Nice to know its not me lol.. will be patient and wait for it to be fixed so I can add my posh new tickers xxx

Well, glad it's not just me, though I do feel silly over the length of time I've just spent cussing, ur, I mean trying to fix the problem.  Mine were working fine until I tried to add a new one, then none of them worked.  Is it all ticker brands, or just lilypie?

so should we erase them and then come back and fix it when the site is fixed or should we leave the codes in and they will be fixed when it gets fixed??

does that make sense?

I would erase them and wait until the glitch is fixed.  The codes will still be in error when the glitch is fixed so they will need to be inputted again anyhow :)
