I've read the instruction! :-[
-
What software are you trying to use? I have Photoshop Elements, but I had to deviate from the instructions given in order to make a scrolling avatar. If you are using Photoshop Elements, I can type out or pm you to tell you what I did.
-
If you don't have the relevant software then you can email the pics to me and I will do it for you :)

thanks guys, am using adobe photoshop and image ready...i've made it but when I try to save to hard drive it says that jpeg files do not support animation so inly first image will be saved!?
-
When I save mine, I click on 'save for web' in photoshop elements, and then tick a box which says 'animate' and select how quickly I want the animation to run. I also have the choice of saving as a GIF or JPEG image - as far as I know you need to save as a GIF to have a scrolling image.

Correct, you need to save it as a gif. To do so in ImageReady (cs2) - File > Save optimized as. In the Save as type: box ensure it is Images Only (*gif) That should suffice :)
-
??? i can get save optimatized as images only but it gives me only (*jpg)
-
Are you saving the file as a jpeg before switching it into imageready? Photoshop is odd in this way sometimes. Create the new image with all your layers and don't save it, and then switch into imageready, see if that gives you the option to save as gif.
-
ok thanks will try :)
-
:'( waaaaaaaaaaah no luck, it wasnt mean to be LOL
-
My offer to do it for you still stands, though you have all the software there, I'm not sure why it's not working ???

Can you run me through your process to see if there's anything obvious as to why it's not giving the gif option. Also, which versions of photoshop & imageready are you using?
-
Thanx G!
Using 7.0 version. Am cropping pic susing picture manager then opening them in photoshop, opening new file, making layers, jumping to image ready, making the animation, saving as optimized...then it goes wrong.
My thinkign is that t files are wrong to start with?!

Apologies for the delay in replying, been crazy here :)
Have you tried using photoshop to resize the images? If not then try that, I'm not sure how familiar you are with photoshop, but I think the instructions on how to crop and resize are in Ferbit's original instructions. Also, the file image that you are transferring into Imageready, does it have the filename Untitled.psd?
