Title: Inbox crashing site

Hi there,

I have the same problem Zoey had. For some time now, when I have the site open and open my message box, the site hangs and then opens upto 100 IE pages automatically. Now, as I am stepping down as a mod, I am trying to clear my inbox and I can't, as it crashes each time I open it up. My task manager cannot keep up in closing the IE pages either. I have cleared the cache, the temp files, the history, the lot. Despite that, I am still having this problem.

Please help :)

Do you mind losing all your messages?  The only way I can do it without actually logging in as you is to set your pm limit to 1, but doing so will empty the rest of your messages out.

Hi Gareth,

I got in this afternoon and was able to clear it all out. I never even knew I had received that huge group email. I received on about a month ago and I am sure I deleted it. But low and behold there was one there this afternoon again. I deleted it ASAP and all seems fine now.

Having the exact same probs - sometimes it works and will let me view the messages, but then crashes when I try to get out of the PM menu, other times it won't let me look at PMs at all.

Rach, have you been able to delete the donation PM from Andy?  Try deleting that if you haven't already.

Well I gave it a go, but didn't get that far, it crashed before it would let me delete the message.

I'll have another go ...

Rach, you may have to do it in Internet Explorer, not Mozilla

I had the same prob too and once I finally mangaged to get in, it took days with IE, and deleted it things were back to normal.

Well I've managed to get in by using Safari - deleted the message from Andy and a couple of others and so far so good, will just see how it goes.
