Title: Asks if I want to download a file...
Post by: Samuel's mum on May 01, 2008, 10:30:14 am: Bit weird but sometimes if I click on a post I get this little window asking me if I want to download this file from BW and reminding of the risks blah blah. It's a blue microsoft window. It's like it sees the post as a little mini-program. I say 'no thanks' and manage to click on it again and it works eventually.
What's that all about?

It's likely to happen when the server is under a heavy load, and it sends the wrong information to your browser, as your browser is unable to recognise the command from the server it prompts you to download it instead.

If not then an update may help solve the issue, along with the obligatory cookie and cache clean. If your cache is corrupt then your browser may be pulling an old page from your cache each time it comes across a page you've viewed already.

If you're not using Mozilla Firefox already, then I highly recommend it :)

Post by: Samuel's mum on July 07, 2008, 09:56:14 am: I use a BT yahoo browser as I have BT broadband and it says I have the most up to date version. I don't get this file download thing everytime - sometimes not at all for a few days. It's back at the moment though.
