Title: How careful do you have to be?
Post by: Micky01 on July 17, 2008, 15:43:56 pm
DS is 9 wks, MSPI, and we are BF.  How careful do I have to be about cross contamination?  I find lots of milk and soy free things at the store, but many of them have the label that they are made on the same equipment as products containing milk and soy.  Should these products be avoided?  Thanks for any help!

Hi.  They HAVE to include that on the package because of people with a true allergy.  Some have allergies, they will go into shock and MUST avoid any cross contamination.

I think with just MSPI, you really will be okay.  It is not saying that they have milk and soy in it, but that it is just prepared in the same place milk and soy products are.

I really think you will be okay.

My Thomas has never had any issues with those foods.  He is very sensitive to even a small amount of milk IN foods he eats, but no issues with those.
