My ds is 4 1/2 mo. We're still trying to figure out intolerances/sensitivities. We're pretty certain about wheat and possibly corn. I've been off dairy too since he was born since ds1 is mpi. Anyway, I had to eat some matzoh bread for a passover meal the other night. I only had about 4 bites, but his ecxema flaired up the next day so I'm pretty certain it affected him. My question is, how long will it take to clear out of my system? I have some frozen EBM but not a lot and I don't want to completely clear it out. We haven't tried any formula yet so I don't really want to use this time to test it for the first time, but I feel bad BFing him if it's making him suffer. Is there anything I can do to get it out of my system quicker?
Momentary pity party...I HATE FOOD ALLERGIES!!
Okay, I'm done now :) Thanks for the support and any suggestions :)

I Googled it and it appears that it depends on the food. They say the milk protein is the longest and can take 1 to 2 weeks to get out of the mother's system, and another 1 to 2 weeks to get out of the baby's. With food they say the max is 24 hours. I don't know if you need to express some milk, if it stays in the milk, I never really breastfed. Hope he feels better soon! :)
