Title: Something weird happened

I got an email notification today that i had a PM.
Logged on and the PM said 'Hi' I had never heard of the user or anything.
So I did a member search and this person became a member yesterday and has not posted anything, only to PM me????
I am a bit freaked out as I have a hotmail account and I am hoping mine wasn't compromised! I have changed my password just in case - can you shed any further light on this?

was there a link or anything in the PM?

very likely could be a spammer.  If you haven't deleted the PM yet, you can click the "report to moderator"  (maybe it says "report to admin") link, and I can figure out more.

thanks.  should be taken care of now.  you can go ahead & delete the PM.  :)
