Hi there!
My dd is almost 15 weeks and I'm starting her on prevacid (hesitantly!) today..I noticed there's lactose in it (from cow, I believe) - anyone notice their lo's intolerance to prevacid? diarrhea? vomiting?

erm not really... though prevacid did not work for ds. He uses nexium now. He was always a big puker so hard to say.

oh ta. xx yes, two huge refluxers here! :) ds takes ranitidine (zantac) too as well as a motility med and his sister takes a motility med and omeprazole (losec) Took me a long time to come to terms with meds... but it really comes down to the lesser of the evils ya know?
I don't think you should see any problems... I do hope it helps! ((hugs))

oi wow..I can't imagine what that's like. I hope they grow out of it soon, sharon!!!
I agree with the lesser evil..my little girl is getting worse and isn't enjoying her feeds now it seems..
seems like she got gassy this aft and got a bit of diarrhea afterall after her dosage this morning..hopefully it's a one time thing during the day!

i'm going to stop :( it's the second day and she has the cleanest diapers I've ever seen and screaming in pain - face turning red trying to have a bm..I've created another evil to replace the other one :( the only thing consoling is my breast

oh no! have you tried zantac or anything first? though i guess this is now a topic for the reflux board eh? huge hugs!

No no GI..the ped didn't really think it was anything really. I'm the one who suggested acid in the first place, you know? Thanks Sharon :)
