Title: MPI and reflux - did the lactose in solutabs/fasttabs bother your baby?
Post by: emilyr on June 13, 2010, 03:11:42 am
Hi Ladies - has anyone noticed your baby reacting to the lactose in the prevacid solutabs, or fasttabs as they are called elsewhere? I know MPI is a protein thing, not a lactose thing, but I didn't know if there is a trace amount of milk in the tabs. I just can't quite seem to get my daughter to be comfortable and I am looking for the culprit. Thoughts?

Nope.
How long has your LO been on Prevacid fastabs?

My girl reacted to the Hylands teething tabs that had lactose in them.  However her allergy was VERY severe.

((hugs))

She's been on the fasttabs for about a week.

Are the timelines of her being uncomfortable and her starting the fastabs the same?

My DS takes prevacid and the teething tabs, both with lactose and he is pretty severly MSPI as well, and it hasn't seemed to be a problem for him. (that I can tell, anyway).
