Title: can I do this
Post by: JennŠ on August 17, 2010, 04:34:09 am
Critter has a hilarious dancing hippo in her siggy.  I tried to copy s/him to put on my desktop.  No go.  Is this even possible to do?  My webmaster is snoring and ragweed has me uncomfortable, so playing around.  Any ideas?   While I'm at it, is there a way to take a picture from face book and post it here?

you probably have to get the code from Critter herself.  as far as FB goes, i think all you have to do is right-click & save the photo, then you can upload it wherever you want.  that's what i've done in the past.

Yeah I do that with FB. It is great as it cuts the file size down automatically so the pic can fit on here. My photos are always too big to load on BW and I find it difficult/long to cut them enough otherwise.

And I just did the save as thing with the hippo, saved it as a GIF and it is still animated, did you try this?

Jenn I often link to pics on my facebook...

When on facebook right click on the piccy you want to appear in your post on here... select properties and copy the image url..

Then when you are writing a post paste the image url - highlight it all and then click on the little insert image button above the text box where you type.. its the second one along in the little row of buttons above the smilies.

Then when you press post the image will appear in your post ...

like this one

The same might also work for the dancing hippo.. which to me always has looked mighty dodgy.

You should see the entire dance then.  ;)  Brain is fried, will ruminate on this later.  :)
