Title: Scroll bars on avatars

I know G & T have been tinkering with things on the site recently. 

Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed avatars are showing up with scroll bars. ???  :-\  ???
I'm using the very latest version of Internet Explorer.

Is this happening on the main site? I did not notice this. Is it new?

Anyway, I seem to have done something to the Avatars this morning and some of them aren't showing. Don't worry, they are not gone. Do not touch your avatar settings if you don't see your avatar. I'm working on it :)

OK I think the avatars are back. Is anyone still missing theirs?

Canwi, can you show me a link to a page where you can see an avatar with scrollbars?

It's not new for me, I've had scrolling avatars for longer than I can even remember :)

Gareth, I just remembered from earlier that you have a specified theme. What if you reselect 'forum default' do your scrollbars go away?

Yes, still have scroll bars, running on SMF Default Theme.

I think it's as much to do with your display screen resolution.  If I set my screen resolution at 1280px wide or over, the scroll bars disappear.  I prefer my display at 1024px wide though :)  If it is a screen resolution issue, then I suspect the only way to ensure it doesn't affect lower resolution screens is to restrict the avatar width.  Previously it was set to 90px wide I think.  On a personal level, the scroll bars don't bother me :)

Canwi, have you changed your screen resolution recently?

And do either of you have the problem 'over there' now? If not then we can leave it.

Just tested and, the problem persists elsewhere regardless of my screen resolution.  One way might be to restrict the px width to 120 px's instead of 165.  Not sure how that would affect all the existing avatars that exceed the px width though?

Can't see them on this page anymore.  Will go gack to the thread where I saw lots of them and see if I can see them there.  If you hear nothing, then they are all fixed.
