Post by: *Amy* on September 19, 2010, 05:22:19 am
Hi Ladies,

I fed DD this morning and left her with my mum while i dropped DS at school, while I was gone she vomited up her whole morning feed after a sneezing bout!, my mum tried to settle her to sleep but she rang me to tell me she was starving - how long after a vomit would you feed??

I dint thunk there's a time limit. Immediately, if she's hungry.

Well there is that too - try spilling 1oz of water and you will see it looks like a lot! Nevertheless, if she is crying hungry, she needs to be fed. If she's nit saying she's hungry, wait!

You already have an answer but if I remember correctly your LO is breastfed? If so, bear in mind for the future that if you LO vomits with a sick bug etc your LO is allowed breastmilk as soon as she wants.  When DS was sick the doctor was saying to have no milk til DSs stomach settled .. then mentioned something about a bottle - when I said he is breastfed she said "well, just feed him whenever he wants it", which knowing my son was almost immediately!!!
