Hi,
Does anyone know why I cant search for topics in the search box. Everytime I try I get this message "You are not allowed to search for posts in this forum". I hate to ask for advice when someone has already asked the same question but I also dont have time to search through each post.
Thanks all.

I get the same - I think they disabled the search facility as it was causing problems. Check the FAQs on the topic you want to ask and if your question isn't answered there, then post it. I find that even if there is a similar post to one I want answered there are usually little differences, that posting my own new thread can properly answer ....

More info here http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=179138.0
Will sticky the aforementioned thread so others can find the same info.

Maybe "search function has been disabled" is better than that mean message, no? Makes people feel less banned...
-
Will flag that suggestion to Gareth & Tom, Steffi. Good idea!

Just had a thought after hitting 'send', that message may be imbedded in the underlying forum software and we may have no control over it. I will still mention it to G&T.

How's what? ;)

Is the message updated? I can't actually check this myself :(
-
I got "You are not allowed to search for posts in this forum. "

Oops, wrong file... Now?
-
Anyone? Is it better now?

Same...
(Maybe it's just me?)

Ok, sorry about this, one more time (I hope) :)

I got this:
The forum search functions have been disabled until further notice, due to technical problems. Please accept our apologies.
Very lovely! Makes me feel warm and fuzzy. :)

Much nicer! Especially for newbies the old message might have seemed a wee bit rude. Thanks ;D

Thx T. :-*
