is she able to tolerate gee? That is wonderful source of good fats, add 1/4 teaspooon mixed into cooked vegetables per day.

What about flaxseed oil? Wonderful source of omega 3 & 6.

Also, cooked salmon and fatty fish  :)

We give olly avocado every day and salmon 2-3 times a week. Avocado can easily be mashed into other things as fairly tasteless. Think oats are high in calories but not fat of course. Be interested to hear other ideas.

Hi buntybear! What salmon do you give Olly, fresh, tinned in oil??

Hear what you say about mashing avocado into other things.....green spuds! ;-)

We use coconut oil as one would use butter.  Also, coconut milk is SO high in fat.

Ah yes was going to say maybe mix a little bit of olive oil into foods??

For the salmon I use fresh. When feeling extravagant and/or lazy  ;) Marks and Spencers do a lovely pack of 2 poached salmon fillets, yum. Easy to break into bits. Or bake some fresh in foil. DH and I have this sometimes so I now chuck another one in for Olly. Enough for him to do another meal the next day  :). Have tried tinned salmon in patties and fish cakes but he is not so keen.  ::)

thanks for this. Sometime told me that ghee is clarified butter so my initial reaction would be nit to give it to him. Is this right about the butter in ghee? L

Another idea is to butter both sides of his toast.

It is clarified butter.  But there is hardly any protein left in it.  My LO tolerates it and he has multiple food intolerances.   It is very very rich, just 1/4 teaspoon mixed into cooked foods is enough.

Ghee is basically butter with the milk solids removed.

I have heard that you can make it at home by boiling butter.
