Title: Foods to avoid for babies with acid reflux
Post by: ZacsMumme on March 30, 2011, 03:18:23 am
Hi all,

Just putting a query out there to other mums who have been through a baby with acid reflux and found any particular foods to be god or bad for their condition?

I have been giving my DS solids since he was 4 months primarily because it was reccommended by the DR and plunket and was the most effective way for him to have his medicine (its grandules)
He has taken to solids well and is now 5 1/2 months old.

I am really careful on what I feed him and have started on things that are easy to break down and are easy on the tum. So far we have had pear, apple, peach, pumpkin, baby rice, avocado. Getting a bit stumped on what to try next. (We tried chicken - just a first food jar - this didn't do down well in his tum!)

I always just avoided things like citrus and tomato.  Can't think of anything else but if I do I'll let you know!  :)

Thanks for the message! We just tried banana before I read your message and I think it made him constipated! - Luckily it was a tiny bit...no more banana for DS.
Yes, avoiding citrus, he seems to have such a sensitive tum, makes it hard to introduce any food.
