Title: being gassy - normal or MPI?
Post by: Mama2boys on April 11, 2011, 18:44:49 pm
DS2 has been fairly gassy recently, not every day but some days and especially solme nights, sometimes I think thats what wakes him up....

but could this be a MPI issue?? we have ben tracking his poop and no blood so doc said he had out grown MPI and he has recently started taking some cows milk in cereal  - not everyday but yoghurt everyday as he loves it! Probably takes about 2oz of yoghurt - plain...

TIA

I would be watching if there was alot of bottom gas... any chance of teething? teething causes more acid and acid can cause bottom gas (think of if you dont sleep for me i get alot of acid and bottom wind maybe tmi there lol)

I would be watching that poop if it was me

we never had blood in the poop and the only real indication we have any MPI issues is gas, mainly at night. Whenever I introduce a dairy product we get gas, thats the only real way I know hes got an upset tummy

hmmm well my naturopath thinks that the symptoms change rather than being outgrown.... food for thought.

hmmm Eloise....might have to push this to an extreme and see and give all yoghurt one day and see and then none and see....

so as per your naturopath is your LO never going to be able to consume milk?
