We went in for dd2's 2 mos appt today and they tested her poop - NO MORE BLOOD ;D ;D ;D We've been dairy free for 3.5 weeks now, and it's obviously working :) That certainly gives me confidence to keep going. Her poop is still a little mucousy, so we're not totally free of the milk protein, but obviously making progress!! It's makes the no cheese bit feel worth it!

That is great news. You're doing a fantastic thing for your DD! :)

Great news Michelle :-*
My GI always said to allow 6-8 weeks for mucous to settle completely (and to not worry to much until that sort of point).
((hugs))

Awesome news!!!

thanks for sharing my joy!! I was going to mention that she had mucuousy poops today, then I saw your post Liz - thanks for relieving my mind. We can't get the reflux under control (yet), but at least we're getting a handle on the milk protein issue!

so glad things are well michelle. how are you doing yourself? i've been thinking so much about you....

GReat news - I have found over the weeks that I am actually not missing cheese any more and don't like the thought of eating it at the moment (sure when I eat it again it will be tasty but I don't feel that just now!) :)

oh I'd eat cheese in a heartbeat if I knew it wouldn't bother dd :)
I'm hanging in there, Cherie - no ill effects from the "episode" in the hospital. The reflux is still not controlled, so we still have hours of screaming here (usually just dd2, but then dd1 joins in and by then, I'm crying too.....) but our peds are working really well with us and trying all kinds of options, they are so determined to help her feel better, so that is very comforting to me.
