Title: How long to heal?? Should I pump and dump?
Post by: Kta400 on May 14, 2011, 13:20:30 pm
Hello, I have been dairy/soy/nut free for 6 weeks now and last night we had sushi. I asked the waitress to see if certain foods had sauces with soy or dairy. She said that the seaweed salad did not have soy but I am pretty sure it did (googled recipes when I got home and all of them had soy sauce). So I fed my DS at 4:00am this morning and at 6:30 he had really loose, green mucus poos with a LOT of blood. Could he have reacted that fast? How long will it take until he stomach heals after this brief exposure? Should I bottle feed him stored breastmilk today and pump/dump? Any help would be appreciated!

Oh no, your poor DS. apparently they can react that quickly. You have a very sensitive bubs. I guess that yes I would dump your milk if you have some spare. HUGS xx

I was so surprised that he reacted so fast. He actually hasn't had a poo since so I am hoping the next one is ok. It is funny how you wait for poo with these little guys! :) Thanks for your response!

Thanks Louisa,
He has been so fussy this week and I am sure his gut is still irritated. The good news is that we have not had more green mucus and blood but it is very very runny. Do you have any experience with probiotics? I am just so desperate to help him feel better.
Thanks
